ENG1D - English (Academic -1 Credit): This course is designed to develop the oral communication, reading, writing, and media literacy skills that students need for success in their secondary school academic programs and in their daily lives. MTH 1W - Math (DeStreamed -1 Credit): This course enables students to develop an understanding of mathematical concepts related to algebra, analytic geometry, and measurement and geometry through investigation, the effective use of technology, and abstract reasoning. Students will investigate relationships, which they will then generalize as equations of lines, and will determine the connections between different representations of a linear relation. They will also explore relationships that emerge from the measurement of three-dimensional figures and two-dimensional shapes. SNC 1D - Science (Academic 1 Credit): This course enables students to develop their understanding of basic concepts in biology, chemistry, earth and space science, and physics, and to relate science to technology, society, and the environment. Students will demonstrate innovation as they learn and apply concepts, styles, and conventions unique to the various arts and acquire skills that are transferable beyond the classroom. MPM2P - Math (Applied - 1 Credit): This course enables students to consolidate their understanding of linear relations and extend their problem-solving and algebraic skills through investigation, the effective use of technology, and hands-on activities. Students will develop and graph equations in analytic geometry; solve and apply linear systems, using real-life examples; and explore and interpret graphs of quadratic relations. TMJ20 - Manufacturing Technology (Open - 1 Credit): This course introduces students to the manufacturing industry by giving them an opportunity to design and fabricate products using a variety of processes, tools, and equipment. Students will learn about technical drawing, properties and preparation of materials, and manufacturing techniques. Student projects may include a robotic challenge, a design challenge, or a fabrication project involving processes such as machining, welding, vacuum forming, or injection moulding. GLD2O - Discovering the Workplace (open): ( Open -1 Credit): This course provides students with opportunities to discover and develop the workplace essential skills and work habits required to be successfully employed. Students will develop an understanding of work through practical hands-on experiences in the school and in the community, using real workplace materials. ICS2O - Introduction to Computer Studies ( Open - 1 Credit ): This course introduces students to computer programming. Students will plan and write simple computer programs by applying fundamental programming concepts, and learn to create clear and maintainable internal documentation. They will also learn to manage a computer by studying hardware configurations, software selection, operating system functions, networking, and safe computing practices. CHC2D - Canadian History since World War I (Academic - 1 Credit): This course explores social, economic, and political developments and events and their impact on the lives of different individuals, groups, and communities, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit individuals and communities, in Canada since 1914. Students will examine the role of conflict and cooperation in Canadian society, Canada’s evolving role within the global community, and the impact of various individuals, organizations, and events on identities, citizenship, and heritage in Canada. Students will develop an understanding of some of the political developments and government policies that have had a lasting impact on First Nations, Métis, and Inuit individuals and communities. TFJ4E- Hospitality and Tourism(Workplace Preparation 1-Credit): This course enables students to further develop knowledge and skills related to the various sectors of the tourism industry. Students will demonstrate advanced food preparation and presentation skills; increase health and wellness knowledge; develop tourism administration and management skills; design and implement a variety of events or activities; and investigate principles and procedures that contribute to high-quality customer service. ICS4U - Computer Science(University 1-Credit): This course enables students to further develop knowledge and skills in computer science. Students will use modular design principles to create complex and fully documented programs, according to industry standards. Student teams will manage a large software development project, from planning through to project review. Students will also analyse algorithms for effectiveness. They will investigate ethical issues in computing and further explore environmental issues, emerging technologies, areas of research in computer science, and careers in the field. ICS4C- Computer Programming(College 1-Credit): This course further develops students’ computer programming skills. Students will learn object- oriented programming concepts, create object-oriented software solutions, and design graphical user interfaces. Students will also investigate ethical issues in computing and expand their understanding of environmental issues, emerging technologies, and computer-related careers. CIA4U- Analyzing Current Economic Issues(University/College 1-Credit): This course examines current Canadian and international economic issues, developments, policies, and practices from diverse perspectives. Students will explore the decisions that individuals and institutions, including governments, make in response to economic issues such as globalization, trade agreements, economic inequalities, regulation, and public spending. Students will apply the concepts of economic thinking and the economic inquiry process, as well as economic models and theories, to investigate, and develop informed opinions about economic trade-offs, growth, and sustainability and related economic issues. CLN4U- Canadian and International Law(University 1-Credit): This course explores a range of contemporary legal issues and how they are addressed in both Canadian and international law. Students will develop an understanding of the principles of Canadian and international law and of issues related to human rights and freedoms, conflict resolution, and criminal, environmental, and workplace law, both in Canada and internationally. Students will apply the concepts of legal thinking and the legal studies inquiry process, and will develop legal reasoning skills, when investigating these and other issues in both Canadian and international contexts. UC-Cal I - University Calculus I (UC-Cal I (Not For Credit): The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of calculus. The emphasis will be on derivatives and its applications. It will introduce anti-derivatives at a basic level. The course will also introduce students to Fermat’s Theorem, Mean-Value Theorem, Definite Integrals, The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus and others depending on time. Prerequisite: Grade 12 Calculus or permission of school

UC-Cal II - University Calculus II (Not For Credit): By popular demand, My Learning Oasis created this course to give students a head start in university, regardless of their discipline. As such, it is not meant to replace a university course and is not intended to be valued as a university credit, although the content is well in tune with the second course in calculus in most universities. As such, students may, on their own volition, seek a credit from the university. Prerequisite: Completion of University Calculus I

UP- PHYS I - University Physics I (Not For Credit): This course introduces students to the basic concepts of motion then leads to two and three dimensional motion. It delves into vector mechanics, cross-product and dot product applications in physics. It introduces students to rotational motion and periodic motion. It then delves into Newton’s laws and thermodynamics. Students are introduced to wave motion and fluid dynamics. Prerequisite: Grade 11 Calculus or Functions or permission of school
