Requirements

An Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is recognized by higher education institutions in all countries. It sets the stage for anyone who wishes to:

​

i) Join the workforce immediately upon completion

ii) Register in appropriate apprenticeship programs

iii) Enroll in college or university

​

My Learning Oasis Elite Private School is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Ontario, Canada to offer all or some of the credits needed to obtain an Ontario Secondary School Diploma. All credits as well as the OSSD earned from My Learning Oasis are as recognized as the credits and OSSD from the public (government) school system in Ontario. At my Learning Oasis, all of the credits can be earned by way of in-class education, online education, or a blend of both.

The requirements to obtain the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) are:

​

  1. The completion of 30 credits: eighteen compulsory and twelve optional*
     

  2. Forty hours of community involvement (CIH)
     

  3. The completion of the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test (OSSLT) or the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Course (OSSLC)*
